On a nice fall evening in 2015, a Bloomsburg University student was playing the grand piano that resides in the often vacant upstairs of the Kehr Union Building. This student, Danny Staros, was with just one other friend of his until the door opened and about two or three young men flooded into the room joking and talking. They grew silent as the piano music stopped.

One of the young men who had just arrived spoke up first, "Hey this guy can sing. Sing something!" With that, he shoved forward the handome freckled redhead of the group. This young man, Adam Tidridge, politely protested and glanced around with a smile on his face before the room became silent. He and the piano player locked eyes, and the fingers of the piano player knew what to doThus began a perfect, never-before-practiced duet of John Legend's "All of Me" as well as the birth of the musical group Wasting Yesterday.

Today, Wasting Yesterday is a performing acoustic duo that only needs one guitar and two microphones in order to bring music and emotion to the world. They perform in various places across Pennsylvania and have become more active as their music selection grows and their songwriting evolves. Looking to become a full band, the group is currently in search of a bassist and drummer. For now, Wasting Yesterday will contiue as a two-man show, casually tossing out old classics such as Twist and Shout by The Beatles, as well as mastering newer popular acoustic alternative songs; Three Cheers for Five Years by Mayday Parade being their go-to for any performance. You can find them on Bloomsburg's campus during the academic year attending classes, socializing, and performing as they gradually become more and more known throughout NEPA.
